I was talking to this guy at gamespot and he said he's made computers that had four video cards - and I was doing research and it turns out having two video cards isn't that uncommon for high-end game rigs - of course my $40 card GeForce 6200 probably isn't as much of an issue as my pentium 3 processor with 1.5GB of RAM - if I had a quad core and 3 or 4 gigs I could probably get away with my vid card from Staples

I can't wait until I've got a good computer because right now even running cod 1 is enough to make me lag, even with a ping of 50 or 60, which is better than 90% of the people playing

I figure if I can run games like Call of Duty 4, Socom 3 and Crysis all on high quality, if I go back and play call of duty 1 I'll be invincible because the lag will be pretty much all dependent on my ping instead of my rig

Laptop:

-Dell Inspiron 4000
-25 minute battery
-512MB RAM (it came with 192)
-900MHz processor
-8MB ATI Mobiloity M3 Gfx card
-Ess Maestro 3 Sound Card (really bad)
-20GB HD
-13.5 inch screen 1400X1050 (dented in two places, was like that when I got it)

Desktop:
-Started with an old Systemax computer, and eventually replaced everything in it
-1GB RAM
-2.4GHz Pentium IV Processor
-128MB Ati Radeon 9600XT Gfx card
-Onboard sound
-60 GB HD+70 GB HD+250 GB HD
-Dell E151FPB 17" Screen 1024X768

That's what I have. Can't say it's modern, but works for what I want. I used to use my desktop PC more for gaming, but now I just use my trusty Xbox 360. My Laptop is strictly for web surfing, school, and small-time gaming.

My machine.

Amd x64 3500+ processer - Single core, dual cores really don't make much difference to gaming performance and this cpu serves me well on most games even crysis.
Geforce px7300gt - Fast graphics card, only able to hold on medium on crysis, anything lower will handle on max mostly.
2gb ram - enough for almost any game really.
Asus m2n-e motherboard - bit of a fucker of a board that limits the CPU and GPU, oh well.

I never seem to have problems with this computer, i don't even feel like upgrading, nothing to upgrade for yet. (i mean that there aren't any games or applications that require a faster pc that i want)
